Kinetic is seeking an Admin & Finance Coordinator. This is a part-time position starting March or April 2022. We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in the arts and, more specifically, dance and the performing arts. This is a great position for someone who already has or would like to gain experience with the operations of an arts-based not-for-profit organization. While previous experience is an asset, Kinetic is committed to building capacity in the dance sector. We are committed to working to understand and live by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship which govern this land.
Kinetic is firmly committed to building an anti-oppressive work environment. As such, we particularly welcome applications from Indigenous people, African Nova Scotians, racially visible minorities, people with disabilities, and members of 2SLGBTQ+ communities. We invite people to self-identify in their cover letters.
Kinetic is a non-profit organization dedicated to the creation, development, and presentation of contemporary dance. Based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), we support professional dance artists by providing workshops, classes, artistic residencies, a seasonal program of finished and unfinished works, and more. We aim to foster a supportive, responsive, and flexible environment that allows dance artists at all levels to develop to their full artistic potential.
